The Cambridge Rare Disease Showcase 2017
On Thursday 24th August, Beacon hosted The Cambridge Rare Disease Showcase, with the generous support of our sponsor Collaborative Drug Discovery. The event was well attended by 42 delegates, six of whom presented talks throughout the evening.
At Beacon, we believe that collaboration between all stakeholders is vital for advancements within the rare disease community. This community is unique in its willingness to work together for better health outcomes, medical innovations and policy changes. To this end, following the success of our networking evenings in 2015 and 2016, we developed ‘The Rare Disease Showcase’, to highlight rare projects around the UK. For the series’ third instalment, we returned to our hometown of Cambridge.
