Drug Repurposing for Rare Diseases 2021

On Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th of June 2021, we held our eighth annual Drug Repurposing for Rare Diseases Conference online through Swapcard.

Alongside traditional presentations, this 2021 virtual conference saw a series of interactive workshops, breakout sessions and built-in networking opportunities to facilitate conversation and hands-on engagement; ensuring everyone left #DrugRepo21 with the knowledge and connections they needed to deliver the treatments patients desperately need.

The event was a huge success, with 202 people in attendance, representing over 80 organisations from across the rare disease community. In total, we welcomed 41 speakers to the stage who graciously shared their work in rare field, including talks on what is drug repurposing and why should we care, smashing the roadblocks on the route to patients, finding treatments through drug redevelopment, drug repurposing in action and much more
