Where to advertise your position: 

• Trustee listing websites are a good place to start such as, Reach, Do-it, The Small Charities Commission and Women on Boards.

• It is also a good idea to go beyond this to look for people who haven’t already made up their mind about being trustees to try and access and persuade a more diverse group of people. Places such as Getting on Board, Team London, The Fore, Charity Job, The Guardian Jobs and Third Sector are good for getting the word out to a bigger range of people and catching someone’s eye. 

• Advertise on your own social media sites, in your newsletter and on your own website. You can also put up posters in hospitals, universities, volunteer centres or send emails around to membership bodies that might include people you’re interested in recruiting.
