If the event has already been built around what your community has identified as relevant, then people will come if you promote the event well and let them know it’s happening. During promotion make sure you promote the most interesting or beneficial aspect to make people sign up. If you are able to, email your community about the event, share it on social media and ask contacts and your network to share it too, if relevant to a wider audience. Include the sign up link every time you share the event. You can also take advantage of social media tools such as countdown on Instagram, event pages on Facebook and sites such as Eventbrite. Remember that speakers can also play a part in promoting the event and often have a different audience, so it can be worth providing them with the correct details and asking them to share the event too.
